Her children, Michele, Ted and Tracey, want you to know that  our mother went into Valley Hospital due to a fall. The lung cancer  is not what took her life. Rather, the oncologist refused to explore a vitamin C and Alkalization therapy for lung cancer that would have extended her life for an additional 5 years. This is a proven cancer treatment that has been around for 14 years. However, due to the doctors singular thought that she had to die because she wasn't a candidate for radiation, led to my mother's quick demise. Doctors  couldn't understand how she was still living.  They only had one solution and that was more pills. This  led them to overprescribe over 22 medications during her three week stay at Valley Hospital even after Phyllis refused the drugs. This impacted her lungs, heart and left our mother sicker than when she walked in.

We need better solutions for people who know that a rip and replace approach to cancer is not the way. We also need to understand that overprescribing patients is not the way to health.  Please donate to Phyllis's cancer drive in lieu of flowers.  She was a medical mystery who survived breast cancer five times and lung cancer once.  If we can embody Phyllis's spirit, we can do anything together.  Thank you  Love Michele, Ted and Tracey
